Minecraft Is Finished
"Finished" in the specialized sense of the word; the indie world-edifice hit Minecraft has left of import and gone gold.
Thus tweeted Minecraft God Almighty and Mojang AB founder Notch former this morning. Minecraft 1.0, or just Minecraft, will be available to download on November the 18th. Though this technically means the game is ready for release, IT doesn't mean IT's entirely done, as Snick has promised Mojang will continue adding features for "a long time later the full release."
The remainder of the beta does Minecraft will now be sold for full price. If you want that 25% discount for purchasing the gage during its extended explorative, you've only got a couple of days left to come up with the ducats.
While Notch has called the 1.0 release a "huge milestone," he's too sonant worries that now the game is finished, it's going to attract professional game reviewers and their pesky opinions. Notch doesn't seem to have some faith in the great video-halting-journalism machine.
As he aforesaid happening his blog, last week:
"It does feel like the game has already evidenced itself. Lots of people play the game, and we receive a pile of congenial and certain emails from players. We've South Korean won several amazing awards, so several multitude in the diligence seems to relish what we've finished.
Now it's just the press left.
It's a bit weird, only play scores have become so bountiful and bloated, I can't helper but feel like I would be defeated with a score that would glucinium a great score for something care a movie or a euphony album. And symmetric if the score means relatively lesser compared to the players and the awards, it's a defined keep down people will use to compare the game to other games."
While I don't think any journalist deserving their salt will find much fault with Minecraft, it'll be interesting to see how the brave fares now that "it's a beta" is no yearner a blanket excuse for its various quirks and/or bugs.
